Install Citrix Receiver

To install Citrix Receiver;

 

A. Citrix installer

If you are still using a previous version or you are a new agent, it is required to have this version and do not update it from the Citrix website.

  1. Download the Citrix Receiver Installer and click on the Run button.
  2. If you have a message box from User Account Control (UAC), click Yes to allow the installation.
  3. On the Welcome screen, click Start.
  4. At the License Agreement window, check the box to accept the license agreement and click Next.
  5. A window of initializing will appear. Once the installation is completed, just click the Finish button.

 

B. Adding the required URL(s) into Trusted Sites

Before logging into Secure Work Space and depending on the project you are working, ensure that the following is(are) added in the Internet Explorer Trusted Sites list:

*.YourDomain.com
*.YourDomain.net (if applicable to your project)

These need to be chag Follow directions below to ensure this is done.

  1. Open the native IE browser from the user’s desktop (NOT from within Citrix).
  2. Click on the gear icon and select Internet options.
  3. Go the [a]Security tab, select [b]Trusted sites zone and click on [c]Sites button.
  4. Type https://*.YourDomain.com (must be your project’s website) in Add this website to the zone, then click on the Add button.
  5. For the second URL, type https://*.YourDomain.net (must be your project’s website) in Add this website to the zone, then click on the Add button. Only if applicable to your project.
  6. Now, click on the Close button.
  7. And finally, click on the OK button.

 

C. Adding the required URL(s) into Compatibility View list

Also, ensure that the following domains are added in compatibility view list. Follow directions below to ensure this is done:

  1. Open the native IE browser from the user’s desktop (NOT from within Citrix).
  2. Go to Tools and open Compatibility View settings.
  3. Add https://*.YourDomain.com (must be your project’s website) in Add this website to the zone, then click on the Add button.
  4. For the second URL, type https://*.YourDomain.net (must be your project’s website) in Add this website to the zone, then click on the Add button. Only if applicable to your project.

 

D. Citrix Troubleshooting

Below are some possible issues that users may encounter with Citrix:

      1. After login, prompted to install the Citrix receiver.

    Users that don’t have the Citrix Receiver installed will be prompted to install after login.

 

Resolution

    1. – Log out of WorkBooth and go to

install the proper version of Citrix receiver

      1. Click on application and get an error.

    Users that click on a Citrix application and it tries to open the ICA file or you get “Unable to parse command line” error.

 

Resolution

    1. – Log out of SWS and add *.intuit.com and *.intuit.net to trusted site.

Note:

    1. You can add the *.YourDomain.com and *.YourDomain.net

(must be your project’s website)

    1. to the trusted sites and refresh the IE page while in WorkBooth to get them into work, but they will get the error next time they login, if you don’t add *.YourDomain.com and *.YourDomain.net

(must be your project’s website)

    1. to the trusted sites while in windows.

 

      1. Click on a Citrix application and get an error.

    Users that click on a Citrix application and get an error “This version of Citrix Receiver does not support selected encryption. Please contact your administrator.”.

Resolution

    1. – Log out of WorkBooth and go to http://faq.workbooth.com/docs.html#citrixreceiver to install the proper version of Citrix receiver.

Note:

    1. You can add the *.YourDomain.com and *.YourDomain.net

(must be your project’s website)

    1. to the compatibility view and refresh the IE page while in SWS to get them into work, but they will get the error next time they login, if you don’t add *.YourDomain.com and *.YourDomain.net
