Create a System Repair Disc (Windows 7)

System Repair Disc ensure a method of recovering Windows 7 in the event of hard drive failure or accidental deletion. the following steps outline how to create a Recovery Drive;

  1. Click on the Start Menu.
  2. In the Run dialog box, type system repair disc, then select the highlighted Create a System Repair Disc under Programs.
  3. The Create a System Repair Disc dialog box will now be visible. Select which drive you wish to install it to.
    THIS DRIVE WILL BE ERASED AND FORMATTED, SO BE SURE THE DEVICE YOU CHOOSE DOES NOT HAVE ANYTHING VALUABLE ON IT!
    Now, click on Create Disk button.
  4. After the program is done preparing the disc, another dialog will let you know the disc name. Label your repair disc or USB device with a permanent marker and store in a safe place.
    You may close the dialog box and exit the program at any point after this.
